Chrono Odyssey, the highly anticipated time-manipulation MMORPG developed by Chrono Studio and published by Kakao Games, has officially received an Adults Only rating in South Korea due to its graphic content.

According to Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee, Chrono Odyssey features “excessive depictions of blood and violence during combat,” leading to its classification as inappropriate for minors under Article 21 of the Game Industry Promotion Act.

The game is known for its seamless open world and unique time-manipulation mechanics. Players use an artifact called the Chronotector to stop time around monsters, rewind their own actions, and alter environments—creating highly dynamic battles and storylines that traverse different eras of history.

Given the game’s focus on massive, time-spanning threats and brutal combat, the Adults Only rating is not unexpected and aligns with the game’s darker tone and ambitious scale.

Chrono Odyssey is currently preparing for its global Closed Beta Test (CBT), scheduled for June 2025 exclusively on PC via Steam. According to the official CBT trailer released by Kakao Games on May 20, the North American version has also received an ESRB rating of Mature 17+, due to blood and intense violence.
The full release of Chrono Odyssey is planned for Q4 2025, targeting PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
